Read our five top tips for completing the year-end form

Be sure to start your year-end form early and don’t wait until the 8 May deadline!

  1. If you’ve paid for goods or services in 2025-26 which are delivered or used in 2026-27 you will need to complete a year-end form to tell us to move or split the cost across both financial years. For example, if you bought something and it was delivered in full or in part in a different financial year to which it was paid, it will need to be included on your year-end form.

  2. Make sure you fill in all the required fields in the ‘Goods and Services’ tab, including your name, your MP’s name, and the submission date. If you don’t, the form will be returned.

  3. You only need to include direct suppliers on your year-end form if the order was placed in one financial year, but it arrived in the next.

  4. Some costs don’t need to be included on your year-end form, including council tax, and stationery from XMA, Commercial, or Banner. Also, you don’t need to include your rent if IPSA pays it directly to your landlord as it will be pro-rated based on your payment dates.

  5. Before submitting your year-end form, check the ‘Budgets’ tab to ensure all costs are allocated to the correct budget.

Bonus tip: Make sure you only submit fully completed forms, as incomplete submissions will be returned to you for correction.
