Five top tips for submitting a property registration form
Submit a fully signed and dated lease agreement, as only executed leases are accepted; draft or unsigned versions cannot be processed.
Include complete landlord or agent contact details and bank information, including full name, address, phone number, and bank account details for rent payments.
Check that your lease includes a two-month break clause and that the MP’s name and address exactly match the registration form to avoid delays or rejection. If the MP ceases being a Member of Parliament for any reason, they would be liable for costs beyond the winding-up period if there is no break clause (or a clause of more than two months).
Include all relevant agreements and written confirmations if the property is shared or sub-let.
Declare any deposit or holding-deposit loans applied for. To avoid the recovery of funds, remember to upload the signed lease within 30 days if you initially submitted a draft.
