MPs’ business costs publication – 18 January

We are due to publish details of MPs’ business costs for August and September 2023 on Thursday 18 January 2024, as part of our routine bi-monthly publication of data.

We publish these costs to provide members of the public with transparency over how public money is spent.

You can access the latest data on your business costs now using the Publication preview service

We would strongly advise you to check your data before it is published so that you can plan and contact us with any questions or concerns.

IPSA Annual Survey of MPs and Staff 2023

We would like to remind you of our annual survey of MPs and Staff. We have already received over 400 responses, and we would like to thank you for sharing your experience of working with IPSA over the past year.

We want to hear from as many of you as possible this year, so we can continue delivering tangible improvements to better support your work and help you focus on delivering for your constituents.

The survey will close on 23 December. Thank you for your time and valuable feedback.

Take the annual survey.

MP Staff Wellness Working Group Survey

As you may remember, the Wellness Working Group undertook an anonymous survey of MPs’ staff last year to better understand how your job affects your well-being. The survey will run again this year.

The survey is completely anonymous and a chance to help enact change. It should only take about 10 minutes to complete.

Please address any queries you may have to the lead researcher Dr Ashley Weinberg, who is an Occupational Psychologist at the University of Salford.

Customer user experience survey

We have been working with a number of you over the past month as part of our project to improve our front-end tools, including IPSA Online.

As some of you will know, we’ve conducted a series of interviews and workshops to better understand your needs, improve our services, and support you in your work.

Our partners, BearingPoint, have a wealth of knowledge in user experience and design and have been helping us facilitate this.

They have prepared a brief survey, which will take no more than five minutes to complete. We want to hear your views and feedback on the systems we currently use, and the services we provide.

Your opinions matter and we will use your feedback to design the service we deliver to you.

Submit your feedback.

Payment card reminder

The November Payment card expenditure has been uploaded onto IPSA Online and is due for reconciliation and approval by our Validation team by 8 January 2024.

We strongly recommend reconciling any outstanding lines as soon as possible to avoid any pressure on offices during the festive period and new year.

Further information can be found in our Payment Card Policy and by visiting our guidance on reconciling your Payment Card.
